The “Kiwiblog right”

Ha! it looks like National Party blogger David Farrar has come over all in a tizzy over No Right Turn’s use of the term “Kiwiblog right”. It seems our Davey sees this as an unwarranted attack upon his good person:

I/S is free to adopt whatever style he wants on his blog, and I am sure my approval doesn’t count for a lot. But when he deliberately tries to smear me with something I have never supported and explicitly condemned in the past – well that’s reflects far more on him than me.

Yes David it reflects on him. Not on you at all. Just like the following comments from the very same post don’t reflect on you either:

Oh how the mighty have fallen – that bloated, complacent, self-appointed member of the highly enlightened intelligentsia resorts to baseless smears.

Idiot (I’ll drop the Savant part) has learnt his lessons from Goebbels.
The objective is to maximise propaganda/exposure and smear the enemy using all available tricks.

I suppose I would be too if the prospect be losing your job when you skill set is redundant was hoist upon me. (no need for lefty lickspittle come post election 2008)

Hmm. Now I’ve noticed the use of “Kiwiblog right” around the place and it seems to denote a particular intolerant foul-mouthed border-line psychotic type of rightwinger. Given the filth that so rapidly followed DPF’s sanctimonious indignation (and so often fills his threads) I’d say it’s pretty much on the money.

Y’see Davey’s problem is he’s so stupid he thinks he can dogwhistle and feed all that vile hatred and we’ll all be too dumb to see what he’s up to. Transparent spin followed by faux indignation all premised on the stupidity of the “punters” – It’s like he’s a metonymy for the National Party as a whole. Unfortunately for him its only the Kiwiblog right that fails to see the hypocrisy.
