This Person votes National

James and I have decided on a new weekly feature that will be known as “This Person votes National” (or until we find a better name, if you want to donate a trophy to the cause we could turn it into an award!) in which weekly we’ll expose the true ugliness of this country’s right wingers.

This weeks quote comes from a Trademe messageboard user known as web06 from Paihia. Not only is web06 a right wing troll but also seems to lack humanity and any understanding of what someone with a serious (sometimes terminal) disease goes through. This response came from a thread asking for retirement gifts for Sue Bradford. Web06 suggested breast cancer.

If you’re reading this and you’re a swing voter, heck even if you’re a National voter weigh this comment up. If you vote National you’ll be doing so along with a rabid right winger with contempt for another’s life, someone who trivializes a very serious illness.

Update: Seems the right wingers are feeling threatened by my feature. They are trying to distance the person who said it from National, even trying to pass me off as a liar. Further proof this feature hurts the right ;-) .

    Hi all

Good trolling my petty little boys.

Vote National, it makes a lot more sense than Labour, the Greens are worse as they are just eco freaks who do not have a clue about science and how countries run. You will always find fruitcakes around, most vote Labour/Greens though.

The introduction of the EFB is a lot worse than some snide remark on a chat forum, big deal.

[illuminatedtiger - Please keep comments on topic. Consider this a warning.]

The person you highlight may well have been a New Zealander too. It’s good that you are highlighting to the rest of the world just how evil and depraved Kiwis are.

Although they may not make the correlation as quickly as you have managed to do.

Maybe you could also include a “Kiwi Murderer of the Week”, or better yet, a “Kiwi child beater of the week”, as we know right wingers and New Zealanders generally enjoy a bit of child abuse. This would certainly help to reinforce the cold hard reality that Kiwis are bad people. And right wingers (of course).

  3. ZenTiger Says:

BTW, what evidence do you have that this commenter votes National? What if they are a Labour voter that hates the Greens? What if they voted for NZ First?

  4. adolfpowell Says:

    Hi all

Socialists don’t need proof, they attack the messenger, not the message.
Funny there is no mention of the EFB at this site, the real supression act of free speech.
BTW, I bet the poor little girl murdered in Otahuhu had parents who did not vote National. The repeal of S59 was meant to protect her, Tui Billboard.

It would take an incredibly sick and twisted individual to find a message in that kind of comment Adolf.

  6. adolfpowell Says:

    Hi tiger

No difference really. Not much I could do about the murderous parents. Thats the real issue tiger. Once again concentrate on the issue of parents bashing kids to death.

Oh and we eat babies too… nice generalisations Illuminatedtiger.

Obviously you have no clue about Sues rather checkered past, I bet shes made loads of enemies.

[illuminatedtiger - But to wish cancer upon her? Nobody and I mean nobody could claim their sanity by wishing that.]

  8. hcjs Says:

Clint – How would you like somebody to wish Prostate cancer apon you because you hold different opinions to them?

  9. Clint Heine Says:

I agree, it is a terrible remark to make but the point was how can you say it was a Nat who said that?

You have to stop the generalisations guys first and foremost. The actual comment was deplorable but you are guilty of using it to attack National…. very low.

  10. stayathomemum Says:

I recall Labour’s Helen Clark, using the word “cancerous” as an insult in the last election campaign. I am presuming that you think it is OK for the Prime Minister to say this in our parliament, yet not OK for an anonymous member of the public to say flippantly on a message board?

  11. Clint Heine Says:

Good call. She also had some nasty words about West Coasters and Exclusive Brethrens too.

  12. Policy Parrot Says:

Every party has demons for sure. Hell I should know.

But there is no problem pointing out to people who in fact they are voting with when they vote for a party, especially if there is a dearth of information surrounding said party’s intention on potentially achieving office.

Quite ironic the National Party is so concerned about freedom of speech, yet it seems to be making no effort to get any message out to the public about its fundamental political beliefs. Hell I know more about Garry Kasparov’s policies than I do Nationals.

    GG James, Tiger, & bus.

Now taking suggestions for next weeks award! If there are no viable suggestions I’ll just find something off Trademe again ;-) .

  14. NX Says:

    Heh, what a sad feature.

The irony is that by trying to tar all right leaning supporters with the same brush you highlight the short comings in your left philosophy; that all the little people should behave like good lemmings & the individual should have limited power.

What that person said was disgusting – but his views are his own.

I’m sorry James and co., but if you want a half credible Kiwiblog rip-off then ditch this juvenile section.

    Just my opinion.

  15. NX Says:

    Your comment is awaiting moderation.

    Crikey.

  16. Clint Heine Says:

I think you’ll find PP that National may not need to release too much and allow Labour to continue shooting itself in the foot. The smacking ban and the EFB are prime examples of ridiculously stupid ideas that will bite them in the ass.

I-Tiger, will you actually check if your next winner is a Nat next time or are you going to still make it up like this one?

[illuminatedtigeger - Has a little faith ;-) This nutjob is a Nat. I made damn well sure of it.]

  17. nnickc Says:

    This person would vote Labour:

“Communism does appeal to me in theory”

    Anybody recognise that one?

  18. hcjs Says:

    Yes me

  19. nnickc Says:

“Seems the right wingers are feeling threatened by my feature. They are trying to distance the person who said it from National, even trying to pass me off as a liar. Further proof this feature hurts the right”

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiigt. Either that or this feature is just proof that the people running this blog are immature and not ready to be taken seriously.

  20. hcjs Says:

Ok, you wait until our next winner. We have proof he is a National party supporter.

So you just wait will you.

The comments could be seen as even more ghastly and more political.
